Blended Sharp & Soft Sand

Sharp sand has sharp, unweathered edges that makes it gritty & ideal for mixing with either hydraulic lime or lime putty.  Sharp sand is also used as a soil amendment, as it makes tight soils looser and gets a lot of use in bonsai cultivation.  Old House Store's sharp sand is sourced and graded from our local quarry in Oxfordshire and is mixed with a soft local soft sand, ready to be used with either a hydraulic lime or putty as a mortar or plaster.

An ideal mix ratio would be 1 - 3.   (1 Lime and 3 sand)
